Help Guide

Learn how to use MyndL to map and understand your mind.

Getting Started

MyndL is a visual tool for mapping your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Each idea becomes a bubble on an infinite canvas, and you draw the connections between them.

  1. Sign in with your Google account
  2. Drag a bubble type from the sidebar onto the canvas
  3. Double-click the bubble to type your thought
  4. Drag from a connection dot to another bubble to link them
  5. Use the Analyze tab to discover patterns

Bubbles

Built-in types

Thought — what's on your mind
Feeling — emotional state
Behavior — actions taken
Action — planned next steps
Reflection — lessons learned

Adding bubbles

Editing

Custom types

Click "+ Custom Type" at the bottom of the Bubbles tab. Custom types persist across sessions. Click the color dot next to any type to change its default color — all existing bubbles of that type update automatically.

Connections

Connections represent relationships between bubbles — cause and effect, trains of thought, or any association you see.

Creating connections

Removing connections

Adjust connection dot size with the o- / o+ controls in the toolbar.

Groups

Groups organize related bubbles into labeled, collapsible containers.

Creating

Select multiple bubbles (drag to select or Shift+click), then click Group in the floating toolbar.

Managing

Mood Tracking

Tag any bubble with an intensity level from 1 (very low) to 5 (very high).

Timeline

The Timeline tab displays all bubbles chronologically, grouped by day.

Analyze

Insights

Live statistics and visualizations updated as you work.

  • Total thoughts, connections, groups, average links, streaks
  • Activity heatmap — daily entry counts by month
  • Type breakdown — donut or bar chart (toggle with button)
  • Connection flow — how types relate to each other
  • Mood distribution and average (when mood tags are used)
  • Time patterns — day-of-week tendencies, monthly trends, behavior-feeling correlations

Patterns

Algorithmic detection of recurring themes.

  • Similar Thoughts — clusters of thoughts with shared language
  • Behavior Patterns — behaviors leading to similar outcomes
  • Click a pattern to highlight the related bubbles on the canvas
All analysis is performed locally in your browser. No data leaves your device.

Templates

Pre-built maps to help you get started. Available in the Maps tab below your map list.

  • Anxiety Spiral — the cycle of anxious thoughts, feelings, avoidance, and temporary relief, with an action step to break the loop
  • Decision Matrix — a central decision with branching options, emotional responses, and pros for each path
  • Daily Check-in — structured daily reflection: feeling, thought, behavior, action, and reflection
